Indulge your ‘Guilty’ Pleasures at this new Peruvian-Inspired Resto

If this what it means to feel ‘Guilty’, then we’re okay with it

Joining Bangkok’s dining scene is Guilty, the Peruvian-inspired “drinking-dining den” at Anantara Siam Hotel Bangkok. This upscale hangout aims to cater to self-confessed hedonists and pleasure-seekers through its creative menus, designer cocktails, and pop art-influenced décor.

Heading the kitchen is the young and talented chef Carlos Rodriguez who brings with him his extensive experience from his stints at El Mariachi, Mexico, Gaggan, Penthouse Bar + Grill, and Makan.

Chef Carlos Rodriguez

Chef Rodriguez takes diners on a gastronomic adventure through modern Latin American cuisine such as the Ceviche in Leche de Tigre and the Tuna Acevichado Roll. The Corn Tortilla Tacos is a nod to Mexico, while meat-lovers will be more than delighted with the robust barbacoa menu which includes a Brazilian Wagyu and cuts served with Peruvian rubs or chimichurri sauces. The star of the dessert menu is the Orange and Lime Churros and a sinful Tres Leches cake.

The drinks menu is equally tantalizing as master mixologists have crafted cocktails to complement the Latin American theme. Signature sips include Manteca y Dulce, a combination of pisco and dulce de leche, and Cactus Scape No.1 with tequila, pineapple, agave and adobo spices. For the adventurous, the selection of party shots includes cannabis, palm leaf, and coffee with coconut.

The interior space offers the aesthetics of Richard Artschwager’s pop art as well as works by local artists Melanies Greis, Nakrob Moonmanus, Kitikong Tilokwattanotai, and Phannapast “Yoon” Taychamaythakool. Dominating the interior is an oversized resin cast feature light that hovers over the central space as an abstract art piece, while bold geometry with earthy green and amber tones help to ground the total effect.
