Exploring Macau: Culture, Cuisine, and the Crown Jewel of Cotai, the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau
If you’re planning a winter escape just a short flight from Bangkok, ...
A whole new week is upon us, so as per usual, here’s a list of events that have been Koktail-approved, from a fashionable pop-up cafe to exhibitions and a painting workshop for art aficionados.
The latest workshop hosted by A Keen House will be led by the “highly sensitive artist” Petchpaints. Participants will learn watercolour painting techniques that focus on channelling creativity rather than creating accurate and lifelike images. Get your creative juices flowing and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere with some coffee and snacks by your side.
3rd Floor, A Keen House, 4 Sukhumvit Soi 40
September 17-18, 2-5pm

“Twilight of the Icons” is an exhibition that embodies that feeling of recalling distant memories that may or may not have happened. The artist, Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew, employed his signature layered gauze technique to create a 3D effect on the portraits, resulting a hologram-like effect. Each piece represents a chapter in Thai history.
SAC Gallery, 160/3 Sukhumvit Soi 39

A group exhibition by Kade Javanalikhikara, Amornthep Mahamart, Jiratchaya Pripwai, Aor Sutthiprapha, and Kitikong Tilokwattanotai, “Distance and Existence” is meant to inspire a dialogue between the art and the viewer’s own interpretation, challenging the idea of whether beauty needs definition or attention. Observe the various mixed media pieces as you ponder the meaning—or lack thereof—of abstract art.

Until October 1, Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm
