The World’s First Ever ‘One Piece’ Fitness is Now Open

Become the strongest pirate ever at the new One Piece-themed gym

One Piece fanatics, it’s time for you to become truly fit, just like your favorite anime characters. Huddled in the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo, it is the world’s first-ever gym inspired by Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling manga series, One Piece

Called “One Piece Fitness BragMen”, the gym takes the last part of its name from the manga’s in-universe tome of adventure tales, and its interior styling design from the anime’s nautical fantasy aesthetic. Once members enter the gym, they’ll be transported to a pirate ship, complete with crates, barrels, and enormous chains. On-site trainers and instructors are even dressed as pirates to accentuate the theme.

The theme doesn’t end at the decor. Gym equipment features references from the anime as well, such as a barbell designed after Luffy’s favorite food: meat on the bone. To motivate gym goers, the walls are decorated with manga art and character illustrations. To tie up with the One Piece motif, many classes draw inspiration from the anime, offering exclusive exercise programs based on the One Piece world and even adapting some video game play mechanics. Group lesson options include Haki Projector Combat, Alabaster Belly Dance, Navy Pilates, and Pirate Yoga, as well as UNBOUND programs—a HIIT training exercise to help fans transform into Luffy’s Gear 4 form.

We’ve also heard that you can earn points that can be exchanged for prizes, and members can also have a “pirate rank” by clearing objectives that are exercise-related. Guess it’s time for an adventure in One Piece fitness goals.
