Skymark launched the second edition of its Pokémon-themed aircraft on May 30th with two domestic flights, which is part of the Soratobu Pikachu Project (Fly in the Sky Pikachu Project). The latest edition, a 10-year-old Boeing 737-800 named “Pikachu Jet BC2”, features eye-catching pocket monsters like Wailord, Pikachu, Magikarp, and Shaymin Sky Forme. Passengers can expect a full Pokémon experience on the flight and even while at the airport with appropriately-themed flight attendant aprons, headrests, baggage tags, and boarding passes.

Skymark Airlines teamed up with The Pokémon Company with its “Pikachu Jet BC” and unveiled the first Pokémon Jet in June of last year. The aircraft features 11 different iterations of the star of the franchise, Pikachu, and bears an unsurprising striking yellow paint job. The aircraft, a three-year-old Boeing 737-800, is still active today and mainly operates on Okinawa routes.

More information will be announced soon such as special in-flight services and upcoming routes. You might see Pikachu flying in the sky or you could even board one the next time you are in Japan!
