With Songkran on the horizon, locals and tourists alike are already looking to enjoy themselves. Whether you are doing some pre-festival celebrations or finding some delicacies to dig into before Thai New Year officially starts, here’s your agenda for the week.
In a double exhibition hosted by GuruShots, over 80 printed works submitted by talented photographers from more than 40 countries are on display at the BACC. If you cannot make it physically, you can experience both exhibitions virtually here and here. The exhibition opens this Saturday, April 9, at 5pm with a small reception and complimentary drinks.

The Vertigo Bar is popular for its good vibes and spectacular views, but for one night only, those working in the hospitality industry will be offered a special menu of selected drinks starting at 200++ baht. Snacks and regular drinks will also be 20% off.

The first solo exhibition by Karen artist Sing Soe Khaing Tun, ‘In Bloom’ showcases his paintings of various flora and fauna. As all the works on display were painted during the 2020-2021 period, the collection is meant to impart the sentiments of the world “blooming” again after a brief period of darkness.
Admission is free.

Enjoy live samba music as you cruise along the Chao Phraya River during sunset. Tickets are 300 baht each, including one drink. Food will be provided by popular Mexican restaurant Cholos BKK, who will be serving their iconic birria tacos as well as other Mexican staples. Vegetarian options will also be available.
After the cruise, the docked party begins at 8:30 pm, and the main deck will be open for all to set the dance floor on fire. This party will be free entry.
