The Goethe-Institut Thailand and the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music come together to proudly present “Silapabanleng – Siamese Music,” a captivating lecture recital. This special occasion marks the 111th birth anniversary of Ajarn Prasidh Silapabanleng, a revered National Artist, and the 50th death anniversary of his mentor Prof. Klaus Pringsheim emanating from their time at the Tokyo Academy of Music. Discover their compositions and arrangements inspired by Thai theatrical music, offering a unique perspective on how European musicians interpret Thai melodies with their artistic sensibilities. Moreover, audiences can witness how Thai artists blend classical compositional techniques with the rich tapestry of Thai traditional elements in their creative endeavours.
