6 New Art Galleries in Bangkok to Discover

Bored of the usual venues? Here are six newly opened galleries for a fresh take on the city’s creative scene

With over 20 exhibitions housed at various art galleries each month, you can’t say Bangkok isn’t a city for art enthusiasts. Art venues are scattered all over the city, and art connoisseurs and curators are opening even more to promote Thai and international artists alike. If you love art, give these new spots a visit.

Taking over a five-storey building in Talad Noi that used to be an auto parts shop, Over The Influence sits in proximity to historic temples and museums. Following the first two of its branches in Los Angeles and Hong Kong, the Bangkok space is dedicated to championing artists who explore the intersections of contemporary art, architecture, design, music, fashion, and other forms of visual expression. With floor-to-ceiling windows on the fourth floor, you can look out at famous landmarks like Wat Trai Withayaram Worawihan and the iconic Chinese gates nearby. The gallery is walking distance from the Chao Phraya River, and there’s a rooftop for events such as live music showcases.
