Founder & Creative Director, Zayan fashion brand
Industry : Lifestyle
Growing up in Chanthaburi province, Tao was familiar with natural materials and repurposed waste, so sustainability became part of his vocabulary. When he launched his fashion brand, Zayan, in 2017, he created a contemporary fashion style made of upcycled waste
from the industry. He finds it a design challenge to use recycled and deadstock materials and repurpose them into something beautiful and durable. His love for nature inspires his designs, but you can also find his advocacy informing the collections as well. As a member of the LGBTQ community, he doesn’t hesitate to introduce special collections such as the Summer Rainbow shirt to mark pride month. Patchwork and quilting are also techniques that enable upcycling with chic results. Not only does he produce casual men’s shirts and blazers, his line also includes accessories such as caps, bucket hats, dog-eared caps, tote bags, mask straps and “Save the Earth” stickers—all linked to his passion for travel and exploring.
