Yashovardhan Lohia is Chief Sustainability Officer for family business Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL), one of the world’s leading chemical companies founded in 1994. Appointed to his current position in 2020, Yash has only passion for sustainability and his main goal is to create an effective roadmap to decarbonising the IVL footprint. With a planned recycling target of 750,000 tonnes by 2025, his work has already seen the company recycle more than 270,000 tonnes of polyethylene terephthalate
(PET) plastic bottles annually. Following his efforts, Indorama was recognised in SAM’s Sustainability Yearbook 2021 with the Silver
Class distinction, and remained at the Gold Level in Ecovadis’ Sustainability rating. During the start of the Covid-19 crisis, Yash at the helm of Indorama’s sustainability initiative started several projects to produce PPE coveralls with recycled PET bottles to support medical personnel.
