Thitiporn Chanawangsa, an artist, designer, speaker, lecturer, and entrepreneur, has made a significant impact with Peakchan, her brand of handcrafted home décor items that blend innovation with natural materials, showcasing her artistic flair while ensuring commercial success. During her studies in Applied Arts at Silpakorn University, Thitiporn embarked on a journey around the country to discover underused raw materials for her creative endeavors. Hemp from the south, traditionally used for rice sacks, caught her attention. Her award-winning hemp collections stand as 3D art forms inspired by the Zen concept of stones and water ripples, and are exported globally. Thitiporn''s passion extends beyond her artistic pursuits to empowering communities by infusing their craftsmanship with innovation, modern design, and business strategy. Through her consultancy work, she collaborates with private enterprises as well as government organisations, contributing to community development and cultural capital to foster a "creative economy". Thitiporn was awarded the OKMD Thai Creative Awards and the Designer of the Year 2009 award in the field of Textile & Fabric Design. She is inspired by abstract artist Piet Mondrian whose simple and precise work embodies a global spirit.
