Agoda revealed the three Asian capitals searched the most by couples celebrating Valentine’s this year. According to data from the online travel platform, the cities that emerged as the top Valentine’s day getaways in Asia were Tokyo, Bangkok, and Singapore, from a total of 14 preferred locations. To pay homage to these romantic spots, Agoda commissioned AI-powered chatbot ChatGPT to compose unique poems for each destination.

Developed by San Francisco-based AI startup OpenAI, ChatGPT is an AI-powered chatbot developed by OpenAI, based on the GPT (Generative Pretrained Transformer) language model. It uses deep learning techniques to generate human-like responses to text inputs in a conversational manner.

The tool is the talk of the business world, as well as schools, corporate boardrooms, and social media. It has also sparked a battle between two of the world’s largest tech companies, Google and Microsoft.

Using ChatGPT to write poetry may be a gimmick, but the artificial intelligence technology powering the chatbot is beyond promising, and a technological leap like this has a lot of potential to further enhance the booking experience on digital travel platforms.
