‘Krung Thep Klang Plaeng’: The Bangkok Open Air Film Festival

The open air cinema project will highlight 25 films across 10 locations in Bangkok

In the hopes of boosting the local economy, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), along with Thai film associations, have organized an outdoor cinema festiva, taking place from the 7th to 31st of July. Called “Krung Thep Klang Plaeng”, the festival highlights 25 films, to be screened at different locations each week on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. One of the oldest films showing goes all the way back to the 1950s: Mae Nak Phra Khanong. Mostly showcasing Thai films, there are a few Western films curated especially for Thai audiences.
