Beabadoobee is Bringing ‘90s Nostalgia to Bangkok

The Filipino-British singer-songwriter will ‘See You Soon’

Beabadoobee, AKA Beatrice Kristi Laus, is coming to Asia and will be making her way to Bangkok for the first time ever on September 19 as part of her Beatopia Tour

The Filipino-British singer-songwriter will also make four other stops on her Asian leg: Taiwan, Manila, Seoul, and Singapore, as well as Tokyo and Osaka for Summersonic 2022. The tour kicks off in Oslo, Norway, and will also head to other countries like Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the US.

Inspired by pop radio hits of the 2000s, Beatopia comes from a deeply personal fantasyland she created back when she was around seven years old, which she has now rediscovered. When thinking of Beabadoobee, the music is somewhere in between bubblegum-pop and fuzzy rock garage band sounds. Having taught herself how to play the guitar through Youtube tutorials, the very first song she wrote on her guitar was Coffee. She released her first EP, Lice, in March 2018. The indie rock artist was also placed alongside Billie Eilish on NME’s annual list of essential new artists, the NME 100. She currently has two studio albums under her belt, Fake It Flowers and her latest album, Beatopia, which was released on July 15.

The grunge-pop sweetheart also undertook her first US tour opening as a supporting act for Clairo’s Immunity Tour in 2019, The 1975’s Music for Cars Tour in 2020, and her most recent, Halsey’s Love and Power Tour in 2022.

Beatopia Tour Live in Bangkok will be taking place at Samyan Mitrtown Hall on September 19th, 2022. Tickets start at 2,000 baht. Live Nation Pre-Sale tickets will be available on August 4 and on public sale on August 5, 10am onwards.
