A Magical Night of Campari Cask Tales at Belga Rooftop Bar

Cocktails, good food, great vibes—the ingredients for a perfect night out in Sukhumvit

A plate of black mussels and some homemade Belgian fries keep you and your party company as you await cocktails made by an award-winning bartender—Tamaryn Cooper. Seated at a table by the terrace, the cool breeze is a blessing at this time of year in Bangkok as you gaze down at the urban chaos down below. This was the setting last week at Belga Rooftop Bar and Brasserie when Campari Thailand took over for the night and hosted the “Campari Cask Tales” event.

As the youngest female titleholder of the Campari Bartender Competition Thailand, Tamaryn, the guest bartender of the night, has extensive knowledge of the alcohols, the ingredients, and how they each play a role in forming an experience in your mouth. In fact, the cocktail list provided to the guests came directly from her creative mind.

The cocktail list was made up of iconic, timeless cocktails, such as the Negroni and Aperol Spritz, as well as a few new and experimental drinks. The ingredients used were well-thought-out and mixed with such delicacy to ensure you taste the individual notes and feel all the textures.

What made the event complete and contained well within our memories was the host: Belga Rooftop Bar and Brasserie. Located on the 32nd floor of Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, the bar's beautiful terrace allows restaurant-goers to enjoy the panoramic view of the Bangkok skyline. Executive chef Nicolas Basset complimented Cooper's cocktail recipes with only the best of Belgian flavours, from moules-frites to liege waffles.
