Thailand not only excels in heat treatment but also boasts a rich tradition of jewellery making, with different provinces specialising in various aspects of this art. For instance, Kanchanaburi is famous for its blue sapphires while Chanthaburi is a gemstone destination, Chiangmai in the north is known for silver, and in the heart of bustling Bangkok, Yaowarat, or Chinatown, serves as the ultimate hub for trading various types, sizes, and styles of gold bars and gold jewellery, attracting buyers from around the world.

Moreover, the industry has played an important role in supporting the economy, demonstrating resilience even during economic downturns. Amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Thailand's gems and jewellery sector showcases the promise of emerging as a global jewellery trading hub. Specifically, Thailand holds a wealth of manufacturing expertise, with Thai artisans dominating exceptional skills and craftsmanship in the treatment, cutting, setting, and design of jewellery products that are globally renowned.
