Joji is Coming to Bangkok for the First Time

We’ll soon get to hear the Japanese-Australian artist’s powerhouse ballads live

The tour for Joji’s highly anticipated third studio album, "Smithereens", will arrive in Bangkok on December 8, 2022, making it the only pitstop for Asian cities.

Born George Kusunoki Miller, Joji first rose to fame as a comedic YouTuber. Fans have seen many internet phases of Joji, including Filthy Frank and Pink Guy, the latter a certified meme. In 2017, however, the former YouTuber took a step back from his satirical skits, rants, and viral challenges in pursuit of a serious music career with musical collective 88rising. The following year, he released his freshman album "Ballads 1" with the single Slow Dancing in the Dark, catapulting Joji’s name into recognition and a first time spot in the Billboard Hot 100.

In 2020, Joji launched his second album "Nectar", spearheading with singles like Sanctuary and Run. At this point, he had solidified his signature combo of R&B, lo-fi, and trip-hop. In June 2022, the singer revealed the single Glimpse of Us for his third studio album, Smithereens, which will be released on November 4, 2022. The song exploded into stratospheric success after the TikTok community caught wind of the melancholy tune.

In December, Joji’s Smithereens tour in Bangkok will be performed at Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani. The concert will be open for booking on October 12, 2022, 10am onwards. Tickets start at 2,300 baht.
