Art Creates Surgery and Surgery Creates Art

Art Creates Surgery and Surgery Creates Art is an exhibition all about innovation in healthcare. The Department of Surgery at Siriraj Hospital has joined forces with River City to portray masterpieces by leading Thai artists in sculpture, visual art and mixed media. Because medical equipment must be designed and rigorously tested before it can be incorporated into real-world treatment to ensure patient safety, more often than not, it has to be imported from international manufacturers, making them expensive and largely inaccessible. Therefore, this exhibition aims to raise funds to sponsor the locally-based development of healthcare technologies with the use of AI and other genres of visual media.

RCB Artery, River City, 1st Floor, 23 Soi Charoen Krung 24
June 10–17, 10am–8pm
