The French skincare brand is making it easier for everyone to recycle not just L’Occitane product containers but that of other brands as well

Instead of discarding your used shampoo bottles and body lotions, why don’t you recycle them? L’Occitane is inviting everyone to recycle them to reduce the amount of single-use plastic waste that is harmful to the environment by acting as the drop-off centre.

This message was put across at the recent L’Occitane Beauty Market 2022 at CentralWorld, where five beauty stations drew guests to five core beauty products: Pascale’s Immortelle (skin evaluation), Reset Fountain (skin repair), Jaubert’s Almond Milk (a magical almond oil that transforms to a milky lotion when mixed with water), Shea Butter Creamery (L’Occitane’s #1 hand care product), and the Essential Oil Bar for all the good things for your hair.

The beauty brand is trying to promote circular economy by eliminating single-use plastic, which forms the bulk of household toiletry and skincare products. Knowing that the will might be there for people to recycle, but the way still obscure, L’Occitane created the Big Little Things Recycle Programme to act as a drop-off centre where we can bring our washed and dried plastic containers, not only for L’Occitane products but any brand. L’Occitane’s beauty advisor will select those that are recyclable, and forward them to its program alliance, PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) for recycling into new containers. Items that can be recycled range from but aren't limited to makeup remover bottles and dispensers, liquid soap bottles and dispensers, and shampoo and hair conditioner bottles.

To do your part, simply wash and dry your bottles and containers and bring them to participating L’Occitane counters at MEGA Bangna, Future Park Rangsit, Mid J Thonglor, Icon Siam, Central Grand Rama 9, Central Chidlom, Central Ladprao, Siam Paragon, Central Eastville, and Central Bangna. L’Occitane will create you a member profile for the Big Little Things Recycle Programme, and you'll receive a gift. You will also receive a stamp on your digital member card to accumulate points that can be exchanged for gifts.

Remember, little actions by a lot of people will make a big impact.
