Soi Dog x Tlabambaa Project Brings Hope to Thousands of Animals

Score a scarf, save a dog

Soi Dog might be the best-recognized animal charity in Asia. Always campaigning for an improvement in animal welfare rights, they’ve vaccinated and spayed over 600,000 cats and dogs across Thailand. Soi Dog has worked with a number of like-minded organizations in the USA and Canada to find loving forever homes for over 1,000 former Thai street animals, and now they've teamed up with Tlabambaa—makers of eco-friendly, dog-soothing scarves—to raise funds and reduce fear for the abandoned animals of Thailand.

Studies have revealed that constant, gentle pressure on a dog’s body reduces the heart rate and lowers serum cortisol levels. Tlabambaa’s scarves help dogs feel less panicked and flighty, because of the gentle pressure they provide. Plenty of positive reviews prove it works for pets everywhere.

The Tlabambaa winter collection of scarves features the striking Soi Dog orange in earth-friendly hemp and organic cotton. These materials are long-lasting, antibacterial, antimicrobial, and hypoallergenic—while creating comfy hugs for pets. What’s even cooler is if there are loud noises, the scarf can cover their ears as a cap. And on warmer days, you can dampen the scarf with cooling water.

Soi Dog and Tlabambaa’s main fundraising goal is to continue changing animal cruelty laws in Asia. A percentage of all proceeds from the Soi Dog x Tlabambaa scarf will be directed to Soi Dog Foundation to provide medical treatment for animals, protect animals from harm, distribute educational information, and support essential spay and neuter programs across the region.

If you’re still unsure of what to get your furry friend this Christmas, the Tlabambaa scarf is the gift to get. Or even better, you could get one for a dog at a local shelter. Always keep in mind: You won’t save the world by rescuing an animal, but you will change that animal’s world.
