Local personalities give their perspective on why we should all go mineral with our water

From the rainforests of Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, via the ancient layers of rock and volcanic ash formed over millions of years, comes Vava mineral water. The new name in natural mineral water was recently launched at an event attended by well-known local personalities, who each shared how they create balance in their own lives—while incorporating mineral water.

At the event, “From Nature For Nature”, four guests from different backgrounds described how their lives are enriched by mineral water. First was TV drama producer, MC, actress, and Youtube travel and cooking personality, Yossinee Nanakorn, who revealed that she balanced her demanding lifestyle with a love for cooking. “Choosing what is best for our bodies is important, and, especially as water is such an essential component of our bodies, it is necessary to replenish it well. I usually like to drink mineral water, as it contains various minerals vital to us, such as potassium which helps eliminate wastes, chloride which helps maintain the proper balance of body fluids, and calcium, which supplements bone health.”

Star barista Akarin Siwapornpitak explained the relationship between mineral water and coffee brewing, and how the purity of water is just as essential as the quality of the coffee beans. “Water is the solvent which extracts the aroma and flavor of coffee from the beans, maintaining the coffee’s quality, and hence we must choose the best water for each cup.” He noted that Vava’s neutral pH level of between 7.4-7.8 would ensure that the bean’s full flavor is not affected.

Niks Anuman-Rajadhon, owner of the Teens of Thailand cocktail bar and an expert bartender in his own right, noted that every single ingredient used in mixing a cocktail will affect the taste and texture of the drink. “The important thing, which many people may overlook is the quality of mineral water used to make ice, which helps extract the distinct aroma and taste of alcohols like whiskey, rum, or gin, definitely enhancing the balance and smoothness more than plain water.”

Renowned photographer and managing director of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Kanachai Bencharongkul, shared his views on the artistic design of the VAVA mineral water bottles, and how art draws inspiration from the natural environment. “The four bottle designs draw upon the distinctiveness of the four elements of earth, water, wind, and fire to reflect its convergence with nature.” Not only is the bottle design eye-catching, it has attracted awards at two world-class design competitions.

VAVA mineral water is manufactured using environmentally-friendly processes, according to CEO Kannika Vongkusolkit. She is committed to ensuring that Vava becomes the first mineral water brand in Thailand to be carbon neutral by 2023.

Vava mineral water retails at 25 baht for a 450ml bottle and can be ordered through the brand’s social media channels or picked up in supermarkets soon.
