Nicklas—or Nicki—heads the company founded by his parents almost half a decade ago. After graduating from the Business School Lausanne, he joined Siam Commercial Securities during the 1997 Asian financial crisis, providing the perfect learning opportunity to deal with financial extremities. Joining the family business, he played a pivotal role in raising the brand's profile in the international market through innovative sales and marketing strategies, all while preserving the traditional craftsmanship and artisanal supply chain scattered throughout the region. Drawing upon the talents of the third generation von Buerens, as well as the experience of the founders, Nicki has enhanced the creative and innovative aspects of the objets d’art. This transformation aims to appeal to a broader and younger customer base, creating a bridge to lead the brand successfully and sustainably into the future. Embodying the best of both worlds, he is equally at home in Bangkok and Bali, where he spent his youth, or in Europe where he studied. His days off are dedicated to his wife and three children.
