June is a social entrepreneur whose organisation, Vulcan Coalition provides disabled people with job opportunities through AI technology. Made aware that the disabled are equally capable as the able-bodied, but simply lacked opportunity, she set up The Guidelight so disabled university students could access educational materials. This grew into Vulcan Coalition, a platform that accommodates incapacities ranging from impaired vision and hearing to physical and autistic disabilities, and helps the disabled produce data for the clients. She uses the 2E strategy: Empower and Educate, whereby the disabled are hired and educated in AI, data labelling and other similar tasks. The working platform provides codes relating to various disabilities in order to set the preferred screen, mouse, keyboard and shortcut parameters with enlarged icons for people with low vision and light sensitivity. She hopes to show that disabled people are not burdens but a force for progress who can be integrated into society, and that they can drive the Thai AI industry to a position where it can compete with foreign businesses.
