At the onset of COVID-19 devastating the nation, stranded entrepreneur Natalie Narkprasert, who was previously managing an eCommerce and interior design business in Paris, had zero experience working for an NGO but had more than enough drive to help those around her in need. Inspired by her elderly grandmother, Natalie quickly gathered her wits and created a platform, COVID Thailand Aid, through which she could actively make a difference through the delivery of care packages and emotion support to vulnerable seniors. Launched back in March 2020 as a small Facebook page aimed at helping 100 low-income communities in and around greater Bangkok, four months later the community had raised over 3 million baht to help 75,000 people in over 30 provinces. Currently, the team at COVID Thailand Aid are working on providing assistance through the new Punsuk Pantries projects, which delivers care packages and meals to the homeless and jobless.
