Owner And Creative Designer, Peaches Activewear

Industry :

Business

Social :

Fresh out of King’s College, London, Prao embarked on building a fashion business without any prior experience. Being stuck at home during Covid, she longed for stylish but comfortable clothing, and Peaches Activewear was the result–high quality, versatile athletic and athleisure clothing for women of all sizes. Doing business alone was a personal challenge, making decisions and mistakes, and overcoming the isolation, pressure and wavering of self-confidence. The Monocle Book of Entrepreneurs was a constant reference for her during this time. She is proud of being confident enough to make connections and expand to London, with a pop-up event as well as collaborations with other brands there. She is aware of the stigma in Thailand regarding age, education, looks, family or financial background and ethnicity, and feels that stepping out of her comfort zone has set an example for others. Young people also have a strong diet and body shape mentality, so her campaigns with plus sizes help others to confidently embrace their body types. She also hopes mental health and eating disorders will become more openly discussed, and that she will be able to help young children achieve their dreams and full potential.
