Innovation is the name of the game for Dr Ronnakorn, having spearheaded this field at CU Innovation Hub, the Institute for Knowledge and Innovation South-East Asia, at ERM, and at the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy Department of Mines and Energy, Queensland before joining the flagship programme at Chulalongkorn University called "School of Integrated Innovation (ScII). A self-confessed academic who doesn’t enjoy academia, he is happy to help incubate Innovation in young students, and embed all the required competencies and skills they will need in the future as global citizens wishing to create an impact. The most important step is to change attitudes, so young people realise that innovation starts with mindset, not technology. The best piece of advice he has received is “Shit Happens”, since it happens all the time. When it transpires, he distracts himself with American sports, soccer and cooking. He would like to see Thais change the way they encounter problems, and some form of compromise between the old and the new.
