Antito offers a casual zesty dining venue with vibrant colours, comfortable furniture, and pop art decor. On the 14th floor of the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn, the semi-outdoor Italian eatery shares its terrace with the hotel’s rooftop pool. Chef Amerigo Tito Sesti, previously of J’aime by Jean Michel Lorain, digs into his roots creating a menu based on his hometown cuisine, Lombardy in Northern Italy. Artistically served hamachi and tomato crudo is a standout appetiser. Fresh raw hamachi sashimi comes on juicy marinated tomatoes giving a light tangy starter. When it comes to pastas and pizzas, the dishes are dutifully Italian. Maccheroni amatriciana is splendid, pairing the rich complexity of the traditional Roman tomato and guanciale sauce with the simplicity of hand-rolled, maccheroni pasta. The real treat is the restaurant’s signature pizza fritti, deep-fried pizza dough smothered in a vibrant tomato sauce and topped with a dollop of fresh, creamy burrata. Alternatively choose gnocchi with sausage ragu, perfectly on point potato parcels with punchy Italian sausage in a velveteen red wine sauce. Chef Sesti’s knack for gastronomic experimentation shines through most in Antito’s desserts. Whichever is chosen have it accompanied by a scoop of one of his fabulous home-made gelatos or sorbets. Choose from a themed list of cocktails, iced teas and spritzers or from a global selection of wines.
DJ sets are a live feature, Thursdays to Sundays.
