Bodegas Wine and Restaurant is located in suburban Nonthaburi and perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family with soft lighting and comfortable seating inviting diners to linger. The a la carte menu is extensive. Begin with a choice of tapas, perhaps gambas al ajillo of pan-fried juicy tiger prawns with garlic and chili or classic ham croquettes, four perfectly golden spherical balls stuffed with bechamel, Iberico ham and topped off with a sliver of Iberico shoulder. Continue with los padrones, vibrantly green, generously spotted with patches of tasty char and dusted with sea salt. Or scallop cold pasta, a perfectly executed cold capellini drizzled with yuzu seaweed dressing and topped with seared scallops. For mains, paella with red prawns, cuttlefish, and mussels is a stunning platter; the rice is cooked just to the point of sticking to the pan, lending it that slightly crunchy texture. Alternatively, choose sea bass Basque vinaigrette, a stellar whole charcoal-grilled Atlantic fish glazed with fragrant, somewhat punchy chili dressing. Iberico is abundant, whether grilled pluma, top loin, or tenderloin, wrapped in pastry, Wellington style, and surrounded by truffle jus.
