Maison Dunand sits within manicured grounds on Sathorn Soi. Chef/patron Arnaud Dunand Sauthier, a veteran of the Bangkok dining scene who built his reputation at Le Normandie, is invariably at hand to greet you. This is his fine-dining tribute to his native France and his treasured regions of Savoie and Brittany. Whilst signature dishes remain, the format is fine-tuned as he continues to lead the Bangkok culinary scene. Now offering a shorter evening tasting menu of six courses, and an à la carte menu rarely available at this level of gastronomy. The à la carte menu features ultra-premium produce, including Hokkaido scallops, Brittany blue lobster, and Margaret River wagyu. The journey is memorable, such is chef Arnaud and his team’s stellar culinary capability. Delicious dishes follow one another, perfectly executed omble chevalier, an alpine lake fish, surrounded by fennel and buttermilk cream, scented with anis, stunning Norwegian langoustine in a rich bisque, and a highlight of organic foie gras from the renowned, exclusive Maison Mitteault, all unforgettable. The cheeseboard is accompanied by homemade jams, condiments, and breads. And a finale of French Mirabelle with sesame and cinnamon leaves no doubt about chef Arnaud’s new direction. The wine list is extensive, with many patron favourites from Savoie, and the wine pairing is delivered with confident narrative by sommelier Watchara Leelao.
Ground floor seating is perfect to observe the kitchen theatre.
