Packed with a buzzing crowd of happy diners every night, Peppina is well-established as the place to go for authentic Neapolitan pizza in Bangkok. Opened in 2014 by genial chef Paolo Vitaletti, also known for other notable city eateries Appia and Giglio Trattoria Fiorentina, this pizzeria offers a dining experience that is quintessentially Neapolitan– food-centric, lively and unpretentious. The pizzas are presented in classic and modern interpretations with authentic Italian ingredients and offer Peppina’s famously supple, chewy, leopard-spotted dough base. Gustoso is one of the restaurant’s unique creations, topped with slices of mortadella, grilled artichoke, grana padano, sweet Italian tomatoes, mozzarella fior di latte and sprinkled with black olive powder for an ingenious extra spark of flavour. It is a genuine triumph from pizzaiolo chef, Thanwa Seesaed. Pizzas aren’t the only option on the menu, however, as Peppina also shows off culinary mastery through pasta dishes. Pappardelle al ragù d’anatra is a flavourful pasta featuring Khao Yai duck in a ragù sauce with local fig, ricotta and capocollo crostini. For dessert, be sure to try the restaurant’s tiramisu: the incredible flavours paired with the generous portion ensure satisfaction with every bite. There is no shortage of wine, beer and cocktail options.
Award-winning pizzas are a must, and larger-format wood-fired steaks perfect for sharing.
