Louise Taechaubol is the director and chairwoman of Triton, a holdings investment company publicly listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. As Triton invests in a diversified portfolio of assets, namely engineering and construction, energy and foods for mass consumption, Louise is responsible for implementing strategies that look out for the company and its subsidiaries. She has been in charge of building Thailand’s longest oil pipelines, which have helped in reducing carbon emissions and generating cleaner energy. Right now she is focused on growing Thailand’s rail services, as well as biogas investments and investments in the food sector. Behind the face of this infrastructural powerhouse, however, is a woman of high artistic skills. In her free time, Louise enjoys painting, playing the piano and catching up on the latest art exhibitions. She also believes in living life compassionately, and the best advice she’s ever been given is “being smart is more important than being pretty.”
