Nada has worked as a transgender rights activist since 2006. She was recently recognised with the Hero Awards 2022 (Social Justice). Despite appearances of being a haven for the LGBTQ+ community, Thailand still has a long way to go, the most challenging obstacle toward gender equality and ending sexual harassment is Thailand’s patriarchal society. She has used her past experience of discrimination, suffered at different times throughout her life, to empower herself. While still a university student, Nada–who calls herself “an intersex transwoman” successfully won a case on uniform justice, opening the doors for chosen gender identification and expression in education institutes. She received the Chevening Scholarship in 2019 to study international human rights law in the UK. Nada was recently charged with a criminal defamation SLAPP suit when providing pro-bono service to a young transgender woman who had been sexually harassed by high-ranking official/businessman. She is also on her way towards a PhD scholarship. Marvel Studio''s Avengers is an instant pick-me-up, reminding her that solidarity helps win battles.
