Ceo, River Books And Chakrabongse Villas
Industry : Advocacy
The environmental, history and culture are at the heart of everything that MR Narisa touches, from River Books that publishes Thai and Southeast Asian art and culture, history and literary gems, to her own Chakrabongse Villas, a boutique hotel and fine dining venue within the riverside compound built by her grandfather, Prince Chakrabongse, in 1908. She also founded the Green World Foundation that creates awareness on the Thai environment through various forms of media and activities, and she is proud that this passion is shared equally by her sons who are just as socially aware. She is now hoping to organise another mini BangkokEdge art festival, to flood proof her garden, and to talk about climate change and the injustice of the war in Ukraine–her grandmother was born in that now war-torn country. Her own contribution to fighting climate change is to be aware of her consumption–she has stopped eating beef, promotes solar energy, uses less plastic, drives an electric Mini and takes public transport as much as possible, and stays away from cheap fashion. She is inspired by the Dalai Lama, Greta Thunberg and Sir David Attenborough.
