Pleng, a sophomore at Stanford University, is studying Pre-Law and is a dedicated advocate for human rights and environmental justice. She is the founder and director of Care for Coral—the largest youth-led reef restoration initiative in Thailand—which received the Most Outstanding Youth Organization Award, issued by HM King Rama X. Notably, her efforts played a pivotal role in changing policies, lifting the nationwide moratorium on coral conservation. Pleng is also a finalist for the Women of the Future Awards in Southeast Asia and received the Excellence of Leadership Award from the Thai government. Her sister, Pyn, a junior at the International School of Bangkok, serves as the president and co-founder of Care for Coral. Pyn is a UNESCAP Asia-Pacific Youth Champion and has received prestigious national accolades, including the Most Outstanding Youth Award, and the Youth Excellence Award. Her nationwide "Sign for Help" campaign positioned her as a prominent activist figure. Pyn''s advocacy extends to gender empowerment through her organisation EmpowHER Youth, creating a more inclusive society. Both Pleng and Pyn are recognized with the Gold Ocean Conservationist medal, awarded by the Ministry of Environment.
