This economist with a doctorate degree in Public Policy from Harvard University has worked at Credit Suisse, the Ministry of Finance, and the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. At Sea–a leading global consumer internet company and the parent company of Garena, Shopee and SeaMoney–Dr Santitarn leads Sea’s engagement with policymakers and thought leaders around the region. He was a speaker at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, and the first Southeast Asian representative at the WEF’s Community of Chief Economists. He was also the only Asian economist to have won the best economic forecaster award by Consensus Economics for three consecutive years. His latest award-winning book, "The Great Remake", has been used in the crafting of Thailand’s economic strategy. He helped draft Thailand’s SME Development Plan as well as policies to promote local startup ecosystem. For the future, he hopes that Sea can help bridge the digital skill gap and empower the underserved in Thailand. The Japanese animation, "Spirited Away", is a constant reminder for him that "Who we are '''' is shaped by the journey we take and the choices we make.
