Vasu’s work and play are linked, since both deal with a healthy mind and body. The pandemic has been hard on both though. In terms of business; not only has he succeeded in maintaining PANPURI’s high productivity and accelerated its e-commerce business to maintain market share, he has enabled his Japanese restaurant Unatoto Thailand to achieve the highest sales since its opening three years ago, of which he is extremely proud. He credits Michael Corleone (The Godfather) for this sage piece of advice: “Never hate your enemies; it affects your judgment”. Steve Jobs has also inspired him to create innovations for the benefit of the next generation, and to balance work life and personal wellness. He is a triathlon and ultra trail runner, three-time Ironman finisher, and looks forward to new race challenges, most notably the Grande Randonnée du Tour du Mont-Blanc in France—the holy grail of ultra-trail runs. He also tries to inspire others as a wellness motivator.
