Melbourne Cup Charity Lunch: Racing with a Purpose

If you love a mix of racing excitement, delicious food and supporting a good cause, the Melbourne Cup Charity Lunch on 5 November is the event to attend. Taking place at the new Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok, this event celebrates Australia’s biggest horse racing day while raising funds for charity.

Guests will enjoy a three-course Australian-inspired meal along with flowing drinks, all while watching the Melbourne Cup streamed live from Australia. In addition to the race, the day will feature a glamorous Fashions on the Field competition, professional photography and a DJ to round off the evening with dancing.

HAOMA X ANDO: Exclusive Two-Night Culinary Collaboration

Haoma is excited to announce an upcoming collaboration with Hong Kong’s Ando for a special two-night dinner event on 29 and 30 October. Chef Deepanker Khosla from Haoma will team up with Chef Augustin Balbi from Ando to create a unique 10-course menu for the occasion. The price for this exclusive dining experience is set at 4,500+ baht per person. 

Haoma, located in the heart of Bangkok, is Thailand’s first urban farm and zero-waste restaurant renowned for its exquisite Neo Indian cuisine made entirely from locally sourced Thai ingredients. Meanwhile Ando, based in Hong Kong, is led by Chef Balbi who blends his Argentinian heritage with his experience in Japan. In a minimalist setting with an open kitchen, his tasting menu offers a personal journey that beautifully fuses his cultural roots with bold Japanese flavours.

Igniv Bangkok x NAE:UM: The Art of Sharing

On 29 October Igniv Bangkok at the St Regis will team up with Chef Louis Han from Singapore’s NAE:UM for a special collaborative dining experience. Aptly named The Art of Sharing, this event will blend the best of Igniv’s Swiss-inspired fine dining with Chef Han’s modern Korean cuisine. After honing his skills from a young age, the chef born in Seoul’s Gangnam district created NAE:UM to explore contemporary Seoul cuisine.

The menu will follow Igniv’s signature sharing format with multiple courses served at once for diners to enjoy together. This exclusive one-day-only event offers an exquisite fusion of Swiss, Thai and Korean cuisine, crafted with the finest local ingredients for an exceptional dining experience.

Priced at 4,900++ baht for lunch and 5,900++ baht for dinner, with optional wine pairings. This is a dining experience that merges cultures through culinary storytelling.

Friends of Mia – Next Gen Series Finale: Sommeliers Take the Spotlight

For wine enthusiasts, the grand finale of the Friends of Mia – Next Gen Series is a must-attend. On 31 October six distinguished sommeliers will take the lead, crafting the perfect wine pairings for a special menu created by Chefs Top and Michelle from Mia, alongside guest chefs from Canvas and Ore.

This event will showcase a synergy between the sommeliers and chefs, with each dish designed to complement the selected wines. Guests will enjoy a tasting menu paired with signature concoctions, making it a night of refined flavours and creative pairings.

Priced at 9,000++ baht, this event will be a memorable Halloween night where fine dining meets world-class wine expertise. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the season with Halloween-inspired attire.

Italian Wine Dinner at Liu

If Cantonese cuisine and fine Italian wines sound like your ideal evening, don’t miss the Italian Wine Dinner at Liu at the Conrad Bangkok on 2 November. This event will feature a five-course meal curated by Executive Chinese Chef Andy Fung, each dish thoughtfully paired with wines from Italy’s renowned Lis Neris winery.

The menu includes a luxurious selection of dishes including steamed dumplings with fresh prawns and abalone, braised beef cheek with A1 sauce, and a double-boiled Cantonese sweet soup for dessert. Oh Calcutta! Chef Som X Tapori

Tapori Bangkok hosts a culinary collaboration between Chef Jutamas “Som” Theantae of Som’s Table and Chef Rohit Sharma of Tapori. From 18-20 October, they’ll present an a la carte menu featuring five dishes each that celebrate the culinary heritage of Calcutta, or Kolkata.

Chef Som draws inspiration from her time at Kala Bhavana in Santiniketan, creating a menu that reflects her memories of India. Highlights include My Favourite Mornings in Kolkata and beef tongue, braised for 10 hours and paired with tapioca dumplings.

Chef Rohit Sharma adds Tapori’s adventurous spirit, featuring dishes including channa dal’er dhokha and lal murghir jhol. This event promises a memorable experience for food enthusiasts looking to explore Kolkata’s flavours. Limited seating ensures an intimate dining atmosphere although you should book in advance.
